We protect your data and respect your rights.

This privacy statement is issued by S.A. Do Invest Lux, established at 233/241 Rue de Beggen, L-1221 Luxembourg, and registered under company number LU26471630 (hereinafter referred to as "JIMS" or "we"), and all its subsidiaries.

This privacy statement tells you how JIMS collects and manages your personal data in the context of security.

Personal data is very important to us. We therefore make it a point of honour to protect it as best we can. The use we make of your personal data respects your rights under the law.

1. What personal data do we collect and use?

We collect surveillance images.

Surveillance cameras allow us to collect video images showing people and displaying the date, time and place.

2. Why and on what basis do we collect your personal data?

We need these images to guarantee security.

Video images are recorded for the following purposes

  • to secure access to buildings and grounds
  • to ensure the safety of customers and staff
  • to detect and identify any suspicious or potentially dangerous behaviour that could cause accidents or incidents
  • identify the cause of an incident with the necessary precision
  • examine damage
  • securing goods and equipment

3. Who has access to your personal data?

Only authorised personnel have access to video images.

In addition, JIMS may call upon other parties who also have access to the video images in this context. All such parties must comply with this privacy statement and may not at any time use your personal data for purposes other than those described herein.

If the images form part of a claims file, they may also be passed on to our insurance company, our broker, our lawyer, our experts and the parties involved in liability proceedings.

In some cases, certain (public) authorities have the right to consult or request the images recorded. In such cases, we will of course cooperate with them.

4. Where do we store your personal data?

Your data is stored in Belgium or Luxembourg.

5. How long do we keep your personal data?

We delete audio video images after 30 days.

The retention period for surveillance images is one month, unless the recorded images form part of a file with a view to: proving an offence, providing evidence of damage or identifying a perpetrator, witness or victim. In this case, the video images will be kept for longer.

6. How do we secure your personal data?

We do everything possible to protect your data.

However, we can never offer an absolute guarantee. We store your personal data on well-secured and controlled computers. When we collaborate with other parties, we require the same level of security from them. However, despite our best efforts, we can never fully guarantee the security and protection of your personal data.

7. What are your rights as a user?

We always take account of your rights under the law. You can have inaccurate data corrected, ask us not to use your data for direct marketing purposes, and so on.

JIMS attaches great importance to protecting your personal data. The use we make of it respects your rights under the law. This is why we have summarised them all below. You can contact us using the contact details at the end of this privacy statement to exercise these rights. In this respect, we are obliged to check your identity and will ask you for a copy of the front of your identity card.

You may request an overview of the personal data we hold about you. You can have incorrect data corrected and data that is no longer relevant deleted.

You can ask us to restrict the use of your personal data or object to their use.

We are constantly developing and improving our services so that we can continue to offer you the best possible service at all times. For this reason, we will regularly adapt this privacy statement so that it always correctly sets out how we process your personal data. Although we make every effort to notify you of any changes, we still recommend that you consult this privacy statement regularly. It is your responsibility to keep abreast of any changes.
