Faq's Pilates
Pilates is a calm group class at jims focused on control, stability and breathing. The emphasis is on your core (abs, back and pelvis) and performing movements in a controlled way.
It helps you become stronger and more flexible without putting heavy strain on your body.
Pilates strengthens your core and helps improve your posture. You work on stability in your back, abs and pelvis while learning to use your muscles more effectively.
This helps you move more efficiently, both during workouts and in everyday life.
Pilates is included in the group class offering at jims. You don’t pay anything extra per session.
How often you can join depends on your club’s schedule.
Reformer pilates is done on a machine with springs and resistance, allowing for added support or intensity.
At jims, we offer mat pilates. You train using your own body weight and focus on control, stability and technique, making it accessible to all levels.
Wear comfortable, fitted sportswear that allows you to move freely.
At jims, sports shoes are required during the class. Avoid loose clothing so the coach can clearly see your posture.
A towel is enough. Mats are available at the club.
You don’t need to bring anything else.
Pilates helps strengthen the muscles that support your back and contributes to better stability.
Your glutes are also engaged during various exercises, helping you move in a stronger and more stable way.
At jims, you follow pilates in a group setting with guidance from a coach who helps you perform the exercises correctly.
You train at your own level, with a focus on movement quality and a sustainable approach.
