Why infrared at Jims
Training does not stop when your workout ends. How you recover plays an important role in how your body feels over time. That is why infrared sauna sessions are part of the Jims experience.
The gentle infrared heat helps your body relax after exercise and supports natural recovery. Muscles can loosen up, your body can slow down and your mind gets a moment to rest. It is not about pushing harder, but about giving your body the care it needs after moving.
Infrared sauna fits easily into your routine. Whether you are just starting out, coming back after a break or training regularly, it offers a simple and comfortable way to support your overall well-being after a workout.
How infrared heat supports your recovery
Infrared sauna uses gentle heat that penetrates deeper into the body than a traditional sauna. This type of warmth supports circulation and helps your body relax after physical effort.
Research suggests that infrared heat can support recovery after exercise. Some studies report a noticeable reduction in perceived muscle soreness after a session, along with improved circulation and a deeply relaxing effect on the body.
Regular infrared sauna sessions are often used as part of a balanced recovery routine. Beyond physical relaxation, many people experience a calmer feeling after training and improved sleep quality when infrared heat is used consistently.
When and how to use the infrared sauna
The infrared sauna fits naturally into your visit at Jims and is most commonly used after your workout, when your body is ready to slow down and recover.
A typical session lasts around 15 to 30 minutes, depending on what feels comfortable for you. You can simply sit back, relax and let the warmth do its work. There is no need to push yourself or stay longer than feels right.
Infrared sauna sessions can be used occasionally or as part of a regular routine. Whether you are just starting out or training more frequently, it offers a simple and accessible way to support recovery at your own pace.

Faq's Saunas (infrared)
An infrared sauna does not heat the air, but heats your body directly with infrared rays. The result is a deep, pleasant warmth that relaxes you without the need for the temperature to be extremely high.
In a traditional sauna, the air is heated to 80-100°C. In an infrared sauna, the air is heated to 80-100°C. In an infrared sauna, the temperature is lower (around 40-60°C), but the heat penetrates deeper into the muscles. It is therefore gentler on the heart and breathing, but just as effective for recovery and relaxation.
